Shopping List

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I wait with you for our Happy New Year!!
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for supporting The Rescue Church as we near our launch Sunday of February 10th. The words of encouragement have been 'Spirit Sent' and have warmed my soul.
Many of you have asked for ways that you can help. We've put together a shopping list of sorts for The Rescue Church that I'll share below. Also, we need prayer. As momentum rises, we know that the devil will try to confuse and distract us away from the calling of the Lord. We need your continued prayers as we rejoice in this journey God has laid out for us.
Psalm 13:5, 'But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.'

God is Good AND Merry Christmas!!

We use the line so much in church that 'God is Good'. It took on a completely different meaning for me this past week as we were able to secure a building for The Rescue Church.

Psalm 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

God truly humbled me through this process as I was praying for a building to be provided for our congregation. But God provides!! Even though I wanted all the answers up front, God had work to do in my life and ministry.

1 Corinthians 1:9 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

I hope this post finds you well this CHRISTMAS season. If there is a time of waiting in your life, please take these verses to heart. Our God does not forget who we are and where we are at. He refines us and prepares us for something far better than we can see.

God Bless and Merry Christmas,

PC

Book Readings

Each month I'll post a couple books that I'll be reading besides the scriptures and my devotions. Sometimes they will be 'churchy' pastor books, but sometimes
those are the best ones!
At the end of the month I'll post a quick review.

'Sticky Church' by Larry Osborne
'Going Deep' by Gordon MacDonald

Welcome!!

Welcome to my blog!! This will be used for updates from our church plant-The Rescue Church. It will also be used for devotional items throughout the week from me to you....and....I will probably sneak some cute pics of my baby girl Carlee on here too!!
So make sure to check back weekly to see what's going on!!
